Cultural Circles

Graffiti Art & Identity Program

Cultural Circles – identity, creativity and story-telling.

Drawing on similarities between contemporary Hip-Hop and Indigenous cultures (story-telling/art/dance/music/respect for elders/knowledge) Cultural Circles facilitates conversations around identity, individuality, culture and community through a creative process of producing artworks.

Experienced facilitators Shane Kennedy & Brad Russell create a safe space for young people to express themselves, and consider what identity and culture means to them. Telling their own stories Shane & Brad are able to explore themes and questions that relate to the roles that young people can play in their own community and ways they can express their identity and contribute to their community.
